The last city we visited on our 2024 trip to Romania was Sighișoara. Sighișoara, Romania was founded by German Saxons, was the home of Vlad The Impaler’s (Dracula) father and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. On April 30th, 2024 (the same day we visited the Merry Cemetery) we visited the Maramureș Village Museum in Sighetu Marmației, Romania. This post will contain mostly pictures, if I think of anything to say about them I will. After leaving Vișeu de Sus we headed to Săpânța, Romania (pronounced Sapantza). We stopped in Sighetul Marmației, Romania to visit a museum that is dedicated to when Romania was a communist country.
